PSL What’s the big deal?

I’m a little bit behind it seems.

It’s the time of year again for the Pumpkin Spiced Latte or simply “PSL”.
Today I had a taste of my first one. Ever.
“You are not from this planet…”

I can see why they’re addictive.
It tastes like a hug.

My husband would say “That’s like your ‘it tastes like summer!’ description of Marlboro white wines.”

You know, a hug from a jolly soft person?

“Wait. You just had a taste?!”
“What did you do with the REST of it?!”
Down the drain, my friends. Better in my plumbing than on my butt. And I bought most of it with my Starbucks points. It still cost $1.31.

“Oh, the horror…”

I figured that it’s basically liquid gingerbread and it is.  A small 12oz one has 300 calories and 40g of carbs!
Gah!
There must be a low carb way. There are several recipes online but they are very time-consuming. Milk your organic free-trade dairy cow, then pasteurize the milk, then dance like a fairy in the fields and sing…
I’m going to try butter or cream & pumkin spice-flavored liquid Stevia from netrition.com in my coffee.
I’ll let you know how it goes.

Meanwhile, I’ll stick to Americanos if I venture near Starbutts, I mean, Starbucks instead.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Starbucks-it smells so good. I just can’t go in there for the next 7 months or so.
Starbucks and I are on a break for a while…
