If I don’t look at it, it doesn’t exist.

I had bills. Student loans $34,000. Credit cards $30,000. Personal loans $15,000. Car loan $34,000. Medical bills $800. a mortgage $90,000 and the list went on…electricity $100, water $200, property taxes 2.5%…..

my own wedding and honeymoon $5000 (yea, it didnt last…)

and then there were HIS bills on top of MINE….

my job only paid $40,000/year before taxes.

was I scared?

to death.

everyday it gnawed at me.

I tried to escape. movies. a bigscreen tv. a new car (for the Houston traffic, of course).

I had a knot in me bigger than Texas.

I was dying.

It was 1997.
